At walmart

Gil, I have both the standard perfect pushup and the new basic perfect push up available for $19.95 at Wal Mart.Functionally, I have noticed no difference between the two.The ‘basic’ is simpler construction, and the handle must be placed into the base. Once assembled it’s not possible to disassemble it. The rubber grip on the basic seems to be more stable as well, as the grip on the metal handled standard perfect push up has a tendency to slide forwards or backwards, especially while doing wide grips requiring one to re center it occasionally.

If I had to recommend one it would be the cheaper variety at Wal mart for $20. It does everything the more expensive version will do.

There’s also another version Alden has out that’s a travel version. The handles detach. It seems very similar to the basic model except it has buttons on the handles that allow the handles to detach from the base for easier packing. For someone that needs to take them on the road this is probably the best option out of the three.

I highly recommend the perfect push up to all my friends and clients.

I’ve also examined the push up pro, and although it seems to do the same thing and is lighter weight, it’s construction and overall quality seems less than any of the perfect push up models. The handle is less cushioned as well. Maybe a decent gift for a chick or someone doing them against the wall or on their knees, but in my opinion the perfect push up has it beat by almost every measure.
